Sunlarus Energy LLC ("Sunlarus", "we", "us") provides software for monitoring residential solar energy systems. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our mobile app, website, and related services (collectively the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect only the information needed to operate the Service:

Account information. When you sign in, our third-party identity provider supplies us with your name, email address, and a unique identifier for your account. We do not see or store your password.
Plant and equipment data. We collect telemetry from the solar equipment at your installation — production power, home consumption, grid import and export, battery state, equipment serial numbers, status codes, and the geographic location of the installation. We retrieve this data through the inverter vendor's cloud on your behalf.
Usage information. Standard server logs (request paths, response codes, timestamps, IP address, user-agent) and application traces used for diagnostics. Each entry is tagged with your account identifier and the plant identifier where applicable.
Device storage. Our mobile app stores authentication tokens in the operating system's secure storage (iOS Keychain, Android Keystore) and small preferences such as whether you have completed onboarding. This data never leaves your device unless you sign in or call the Service.

We do not use third-party analytics, advertising identifiers, or trackers. We do not sell or rent your information.

How we use it

To authenticate you and authorize access to the data for plants you own.
To compute and display your savings, production, consumption, and alerts.
To diagnose and improve the Service (debugging, performance monitoring).
To contact you about your account or the Service when needed.

Who we share information with

Infrastructure providers. We use third-party cloud infrastructure to host the Service and a third-party identity provider to handle authentication. Data in transit is encrypted with TLS.
Inverter vendors. We poll the inverter vendor's cloud using credentials Sunlarus registered with the vendor. The vendor does not receive data about you from us — we are a consumer of their API.
Legal. We may disclose information if required to comply with a lawful request or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Sunlarus, our users, or the public.

We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers.

Data retention

Raw telemetry: retained for up to 2 years. Older data is compressed for storage efficiency after 90 days.
Daily aggregates: retained indefinitely for historical savings reporting.
Account records: retained until you delete your account.
Server logs: retained for up to 90 days.

Your choices

Access: You can view your savings, production, consumption, and equipment data directly in the app and web dashboard.
Deletion: You may delete your account from the in-app Settings screen. Deletion removes your account record and unlinks your plant from your profile within 30 days. Aggregated, de-identified data may be retained for historical reporting.
Correction: Email support@sunlarusenergy.com to correct your account information.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email.
